Dispersant NNO, Dispersing Agent NNO, Pesticide Adjuvant, High Concentration Dispersant NNO
Chemical Composition: Formaldehyde condensate of naphthalene sulfonic acid
Appearance: Brownish powder Dissolve
Performance: Highly soluble in water of any hardness;
pH value: 7–9 for a 1% aqueous solution;
Ionization type: Anionic;
Stability: Resistant to acids, alkalis, heat, hard water, and inorganic salts;
Compatibility: Can be used simultaneously with anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric surfactants;
Specifications: Complies with GB9296-88. Exhibits excellent dispersion and protective colloid properties, but lacks surface-active characteristics such as penetration or foaming. Shows affinity toward proteins and polyamide fibers, but not toward cotton or linen fibers.
Applications: In the printing and dyeing industry, primarily used for vat dye suspension pad-dyeing, acid hiding method dyeing, and dyeing with disperse and soluble vat dyes. Also suitable for dyeing silk/wool blended fabrics, preventing color uptake on silk. In the dye industry, mainly used as a dispersing agent in the production of disperse dyes and lake dyes, as a stabilizer for rubber emulsions, and as a tanning assistant in leather processing.
Usage conditions:
(1) As a dispersant and filler for disperse and vat dyes: During grinding or sand-milling processes for fine particle size of disperse or vat dyes, Diffusion Agent N can be added together with the dye into the grinder or bead mill. The dosage is typically 0.5–3 times the weight of vat dyes or 1.5–2 times that of disperse dyes. A portion may be reserved as a filler during dye commercialization.
(2) Vat dyeing: For suspension pad-dyeing, add 3–5 g/L of Diffusion Agent N to the padding bath and 15–20 g/L to the reduction bath. For acid hiding method, use 2–3 g/L of Diffusion Agent N.
(3) Disperse dyeing: For high-temperature, high-pressure dyeing of polyester, generally add 0.5–1.5 g/L of Diffusion Agent N to the dye bath.
(4) Ice dyeing: Used to improve leveling and rubbing fastness. In the naphthol under-bath, dosage is usually 2–5 g/L; in the developer bath, typically 0.5–2 g/L.
